What if I told you, this home was under construction...
This house was under construction during this photoshoot. Think - blue tape, tarps, screws, tools. I walked in and knew I had a challenge on my hands. A challenge to capture the design without the mess. I had to angle my camera just right to get the details, without showing anything unfinished in the background. It was a challenge I was ready to try, because the timeline for my client was short! I had to capture this home during the construction phase, so they could complete it, and hand it off to the home owners.
I'm very excited to share with you - the Vialetto Project in Lehi Utah.
Tone, Texture, Balance
"Most people think that when the same materials are used in each room, that it's easy to design...when really, it's the opposite." The designer of this project shared this with me during the photoshoot. This home was meant to feel clean, modern, and balanced. Capturing that feeling was my job! I created balance in the gallery by taking photos of the whole room and then the intricate details within them.
The home was set on the hills of Lehi, in Utah County. Overlooking the valley, it featured indoor/outdoor living - great for all seasons. The glass transition wall allowed the owners, and their visitors, to see the view uninterrupted. I wanted to focus on that view, and the light that it allowed to come into the space, when capturing this home. The furniture and wall treatments were highlighted by the sun at different times of the day.
it just Goes to show...
...that the state of the home can still produce beautiful images! Even with blue tape and unfinished walls, the details of this pretty design were able to shine through. This is your sign that there are NO excuses when it come to hiring a photographer for your design project!
